my laptop has 1+2=3G RAM installed and I would like to upgrade it. Ideally I would like to remove the 1G module and put on 4G module... or remove them both and put two 4G modules. I am not sure it is possible. I understand this laptop should support up to 8G... I have asked on local shops (local=Spain) and they say it is not possible to fit neither one nor two 4G modules into my laptop. That sounds weird. Could you maybe help me?

We were able to confirm the max your laptop can take is up to 8GB so you can infact install two 4GB modules in 2 slots.
